I live on the eastern shore of va and I'm looking for Grant's to start a no kill dog shelter on my 5 acre farm..where and how do I go by starting this plan? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

The first grant you should probably try for is through the Ralph and Virginia Mullin Foundation which makes small grants to groups trying to obtain 501(c)(3) non-profit status.  Most granting foundations will not help you unless you have been certified, sanctified and bonefied by the IRS as a worthy charity.  Send a letter of inquiry to them at 2401 E.
