  • 1.  Trouble with young dog in senior rescue

I'm having trouble with a younger dog that ended up in our senior rescue. he is not properly socialized and is starting to guard his things. I work with him one on one a lot and have gotten pretty far but this doesn't seem to change his behavior towards other staff members at all. I'm trying to work with them but he doesn't give them any issue while I'm there. I would love to take him home but am unable to (I only mention this because that's the first thing I'm told when I bring this up) We have had no luck in finding a home because people come to us looking for a mellow senior with a bit of energy, not a headstrong teenager. I'm not sure if help with Placement/Rescue Transfer/networking or what is needed. Any thoughts or advice welcome.
