Hi! I recently started to foster a kitten. I have 2 cats, one is 1yr old and the other one is 4. I have been slowly introducing them. The kitten walks ok around them without hissing or being afraid. It's like he doesn't even notice them, but my other cats that's a different story. The 1yr old will pass by ok, but if they get to close she will hiss so I separate again. Yesterday they were ok and then all of the sudden she hissed and swatted the kitten. I thought progress was made. The older cat hisses and growls, so I haven't moved forward with additional steps to get them closer. I would like some advise. I just hate to have the kitten confined to a small space.

    Hey :)

I usually set the kitten / kittens up in a play pen for a few days in a central part of my house with everything they need (food, water, toys, litter etc...) so that my cats can kind of see them from a distance and have the choice to go up to them in their own time and investigate through a barrier rather then having the kittens wandering into their space.

This way it's kind of more on your pet cats terms, and they can take their time!

    I hope this helped a bit :)
