Shout out to our local clinic, Pearland Animal Resource Center. Everyone at PCRC is knowledgeable, professional and actually cares about the animals that come through their clinic. I'm so grateful for their hard work and compassion. From Amy to Alyssa to Rosemary, to the entire vet staff, we wouldn't be able to do what we do without them.

I would like to give a huge shout out to our Vet and Clinic Supervisor for their hard work in changing our progress on spays and neuters for our 3 shelters. When I started we had quite the list of needs and our staff did their best to accommodate the needs.

We then were fortunate enough to have a Vet finally added to staff which helped out tremendously and allowed our adopters to add their new furry friend to their family even faster than before. Our Clinic Supervisor also did a spay neuter day this year that she would like to keep doing every year and it was a huge success.

Their diligence and professionalism is an inspiration and I truly appreciate their hard work.

A huge shout-out to the Fearless Kitty Rescue staff and volunteers!  Everyone here works hard to rescue, care for and adopt out over 400 cats and kittens each year. They are tireless in their efforts to create a clean, safe environment for felines and people. They often work long hours and are quick to pop-into the rescue for extra support when needed. They plan their schedules weeks in advance and often just drop-in to see if anyone needs extra help. They clean, they foster, they give meds, they run the resale boutique, they help with events, they write grants, they do laundry - tons of laundry, and they help every adopter find their new feline family members.  Our team of small staff and over 130 volunteers keeps our rescue in top-notch shape. We are successful because of their dedication and love for cat rescue. We are grateful for every one of them.

I would like to shout out to my all my coworkers, but Kelli (right) and Alyssa (left) in particular.  Kelli is out medical coordinator.  She handles all the medical paperwork and scheduling and medications for all of our animals and also TNR.  We recently had an investigation that resulted in the seizure of over 70 cats and dogs, and she still made the time to help clip the nails on some of the dogs that were in desperate need.  Besides being a superhero to the animals, she is also a superhero to her young and adventurous nieces and nephews (literally, she has the reflexes of a ninja).  Alyssa is the director at our SPCA.  She came in brand new just after Covid hit that brought on its own repercussions in the domestic animal rescue world.  There were so many changes and adjustments that needed to be made in an organization that had often run on "that's the way it's always been done".  She has guided the staff and board members with grace, compassion, and a sense of humor.  I am grateful to be a part of our wonderful team.  And thank you to Maddie's Pet Forum for the conferences.  We were able to attend as a group a couple years ago and it not only provided new and helpful information, but also gave us a great sense of peace knowing that we were not the only ones dealing with overcrowding and other problems, and reassurance that what we had already started to implement was on the right track and despite being uncomfortable at times, was necessary.

I would love to shout out my coworker/volunteer  Jackie. She has a huge heart and handles scared cats with grace and understanding.
