"Hey everyone! We're starting to put together adoption bags to send home with our newly adopted dogs and cats, and we'd love some ideas! What do you include in your adoption bags? Also, do you have any tips on getting free coupons, stickers, or promotional goodies from companies to include? We want to make these bags as helpful (and fun!) as possible for our adopters. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!"

Hi, I order a lot of things from Temu, such as stickers, poop bags, and holders, the stickers to go on home windows in case of fire- dogs, and cats inside, cute little cat toys, and things like that for really cheap. If you sign up through Max and Neo, they will send you boxes of collar, leashes, and toys about every 3-4 months for free. You can sign up through Nyla bone and they will send you a big box of those for free. I also sign up for the Purina rewards and get treats, coupons and collapsible water bowls through them. Get people to send you their receipts where they buy Purina products and scan them in

Thank-you for sharing.  I hadn't heard about Max and Neo - this is fantastic to learn!

Catalyst Litter has a shelter program.  You submit email addresses of adopters who will receive a free bag of litter. In return, the shelter gets free litter.  Catalyst will also help promote your adoptable cats.  Win/win!!!  My contact is Tracy Chester & her email is tracychesterphoto@gmail.com.

A shelter in my hometown includes a special blanket with each cat. They get lots of those tie blankets or rolled fleece made/donated and assign it to a cat then the cat has something to go home with that already has its smell and comfort. This would be possible too, to just give the rolled fleece as part of the bag and not include it in the shelter operations yet since it could get dirty depending on how long the cat's stay is.
