Many in my community are getting traumatized by the amount of killings going on in Southern California shelters.  One particularly bad shelter is in Apple Valley.  People are posting on the Nextdoor app that they are killing most of the dogs and cats there, puppies and kittens included.  They put dogs on the euthanasia list the same day they go up for adoption.  One rescue group I spoke with that pulls from there says that the dogs are in filthy cages, they are not walked, they are sprayed with hoses and are terrified.  What can be done about a "shelter" like this?  It is so bad that many people turn away from looking at the posts, like me.  It is a train of death.  Thoughts??

Try the local government.  Follow the funding to find out where the funding comes from- then reach out to them.
PETA will sometimes help bring awareness.  Local media- news stations- try to draw attention to it to get public involvement.

It sounds terrible- I hope you find help somewhere.  :(
