Updated 9/30/24 at 5:39 pm PT: Recording now available to watch on-demand!

If you missed our Community Conversation on Monday, 9/30/24 at 11am PT for a presentation titled,  "Neighborhood Pets: Creating Social Change by Supporting the Human-Animal Bond" with  Becca Britton,  Founder and Executive Director of Neighborhood Pets, you can watch the recording above.

Neighborhood Pets is a critical safety net for low-income Cleveland, OH residents, created with the understanding that for many of those individuals or families, the emotional connection to a companion animal is one of the most powerful supports an individual may have-and that if you want to reach that individual, you must include the pets they consider family.

Our strategic partnerships with key social service organizations serving the same population help us to serve the whole person and improve the quality of life for the pet parent as well as their furry companions. Established in 2016, Neighborhood Pets, using this unique model of reaching individuals and their pets, is a community-based nonprofit organization currently serving 8,500 households across the Cleveland area. That number grows by approximately 100 households each month. Located in the Slavic Village neighborhood of Cleveland, Neighborhood Pets has become an oasis where individuals (and their pets) can get support, advice, referrals, validation, and respect. We do this by providing accessible and affordable pet care, as well as human needs services via our social service partners.
