Animal Welfare Professionals

Does anyone have some dry cat food recommendations?  Particularly, inexpensive  but  healthy food, and preferably grain free.  I am finding a lot of bargain cat chow on one hand, and premium expensive on the other.  I'm leaning toward Taste of the Wild and Victor.

Hi Gina, first I'm wondering what is inexpensive for you?  I think that's a term that can be different for everyone.  Anyway, I happen to be partial to Natural Balance; I believe it's healthy and comes in a ton of varieties.

The article includes recommendations for both wet and dry foods.  On other forums, I have seen Diamond Naturals and Kirkland's (Costco) suggested.

I don't currently care for any com cats; in the past, I have fed Purina products.  Our pet food pantry mixes together everything they get in donations and hands out Ziplock bags so everyone gets a blend of higher quality and more filler quality food.  A lot of caretakers will add  wet food on their own at feeding stations, especially during the winter, to provide higher protein and moisture.
