Hey all! I run a nonprofit exotic animal rescue, and we're always looking to connect with rescue groups who either specialize in exotics, or help out when they can. We are foster, adoption, sanctuary, education, all the above! (Think tortoises, turtles, birds, reptiles, small mammals) - all animals that are victim of the exotic pet trade.

All of our socials are @wildexoticsanimalrefuge

    email - wearsaves@gmail.com

Let's connect if you work with, or would like to work with exotics!

    Brittany,

Hi, we are an exotic, farm and wild animal sanctuary and rescue in west central Florida. We founded our rescue in 2017 after the rescue we volunteered at for about 10  years, two as live in caretakers, closed due to the founder's illness. We wanted to continue the work and add some of our own ideas too.  Education is a big part of our rescue. Last year we introduced our Critter Connection animal education outreach bus which brings our animal ambassadors to local schools to teach the next generation about animal care.  I would love to hear your story on how you got into rescue.

    Hi Lisa,

Thanks for replying! It's great to connect with another rescue. I enjoyed reading about your sanctuary and the Critter Connection bus. Education is a huge part of what we do as well. After all, how are people supposed to care about what they don't know?

I got into rescue through my passion for reptiles and other exotic animals as a teenager. Over the years, I kept seeing more and more animals needing help, and eventually publicly started rescuing New Jersey in 2021. In 2024, we became a nonprofit. We focus primarily on exotic animal rescue, rehabilitation, adoptions, sanctuary care, and education programs throughout the community.

It's always nice to meet others doing similar work, especially in the exotic animal world. Is your sanctuary on social media? Let me know, I'd love to follow along!

That is amazing! We love hearing about younger people being so dedicated to animal welfare.
