We absolutely love the work we see happening in this group every single day. It's inspiring beyond words. 🙏
We're a small nonprofit animal rescue based in Houston, Texas - Texas Homeward Bound Animal Rescue - and we started after seeing so many dogs in our city with nowhere to go. It broke our hearts - so we stepped in. What started with a few emergency rescues has grown into a full foster-based operation saving dogs and cats whenever we possibly can.
Like many small rescues, funding is our biggest struggle - but we refuse to give up. Right now we're actively:
• Hosting and planning community fundraising events
• Running an online rescue shop
• Building support for our future shelter facility
• Taking in emergency cases whenever funds allow
• Partnering with local businesses and supporters
• Pushing hard for adoptions and fosters
We do this with a tiny team, big hearts, and a whole lot of late nights. 💪🐶🐱
👉 We'd truly love to hear from YOU:
What has worked best for your rescue when it comes to funding?
What events have brought the most success?
Any creative ideas, grant tips, donor strategies, or warnings of what not to do would mean the world to us.
We believe rescues grow stronger when we help each other - and any advice you're willing to share would be deeply appreciated. Thank you all for everything you do for the animals. 💛
