Small & Mighty Organizations

We recently received in-kind donations of artwork and other items to help us raise funds for our sanctuary.  In the past we created a facebook group page and listed each item separately asking people to place their bids in the comments under the pictures. We kept the listings up for a week and at the end of the week the comment with the highest bid was the item winner. I'm curious to see if others have tried this or have had better luck with sites like ebay or specific auction sites? If there is an auction site that you have used and liked please share. Thank you.

I've never run an on-line auction. Hopefully later this fall we will have an in-person either auction or gallery type fund raiser.  But another local group runs auctions about once a month to raise money for her group.  You can check out what she does by searching  FaceBook for Friends Helping Guardian Angels Cat Reacue.   I used to use eBay for personal items but have not been on that venue in quite awhile. Thank you, I just looked them up. It looks like they run the auction directly on their fb page each month. It is set up basically the same as what we did in the past. Another rescue suggested we cross post on FB, ebay and etsy but that is way too much work :). I think I will try on FB again and see how it goes.
