Animal Welfare Professionals

The Human Animal Support Services (HASS) team is seeking five animal shelter participants for Phase 3 of the recently announced Human Commonalities Project (HCP) and we want YOU to join!

Knowing that 98% of pet owners agree pets are family, this project's goal is to identify the common challenges in a community that present barriers to pet retention and community behavior trends that could be used to increase pet retention and reunification.

To identify these factors, HASS will distribute a virtual, post-visit survey to guests in participating shelters. Data will inform opportunities for collaboration with their local human welfare organizations to keep pets and people together whenever possible. 

Participants in Phase 3 of the Human Commonalities project can expect:

• HASS team collaboration and support

• Customized reporting with your organization's data

• Opportunity to survey community members who interact with your organization

• Consideration for future opportunities to connect with your community service organizations for an in-person event
