Kudos to Community Cats Podcast and Neighborhood Cats for their wonderful workshops
I took this workshop to refresh my trapping skills after a 34-year hiatus. It was a great way to confirm that I had been well-trained in the basics in the early 1980's (New York) and that there are new equipment, tricks, and supplies I needed to get my hands on now. (Drop traps!! Cameras!! Woo-hoo!!)
Kotor Kitties is a nonprofit HQHVSN and TNR program in Montenegro. We offer scholarships to this workshop for any bilingual or English-speaking locals in Montenegro willing to help with trapping. We also ask any vacationers planning to come to Montenegro who want to help us to please take this course and volunteer with a local group for some hands-on trapping experience before they come!
My goal for the future is to have this workshop simultaneously translated for use in the Balkan countries of Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzgovina, Serbia and Macedonia, which share a common base language (and can communicate fluently). TNR is in its infancy in these countries and the work/life practices make in-person workshops impossible to schedule. These workshops are tremendously helpful to us! (And the timing is perfect--in Montenegro it's a Saturday evening, from 8 - 10:30. Dinner is over, young kids are in bed, but it's not too late to stay alert.)

How are you currently training your volunteers to help with your trapping and TNR programs?
Community Cats Podcast is hosting their monthly TNR Certification Workshop this Saturday, January 7 from 2 - 4:30 p.m. ET. Session is 2.5 hours long, followed by an optional 15-minute Q&A.
Presented by Neighborhood Cats, this session will cover everything a new volunteer (or staff member, or friend) will need to know about trapping and colony care. Plus, there is a chance to win a humane box trap from Tomahawk Traps!
Attendees who attend the session will receive a certificate after they complete a brief quiz.
Registration is $10. Register for the event here.

We created these workshops to help more groups and organizations provide quality training and information to their teams. If you'd like to incorporate these workshops into your onboarding program, let us know! We'd be glad to work with you, and even create resources specific to your community that can be shared with anyone who attends from your group. Contact Stacy directly at stacy@communitycatspodcast.com to learn more about our collaboration opportunities.
