We were really grateful for donations coming from the Betty White challenge in 2022, is somebody planning to celebrate Betty White this January?

We are a Feline only shelter in CO and were also grateful for the donations honoring Betty last year.  We were thinking of doing something this year as well but were not sure how to go about it.  We may just do an email blast and social media campaign.

Yes, we were going to do an adoption special all week in honor of Betty White and also ask for donations in her memory. We will be focusing on a social media campaign and sending out an email blast. 

I am curious if people will be using the same #BettyWhiteChallenge from last year or call it something different.

Thank you! We will go with this as well, but use the week of the 16th as we are doing a popup pantry to give back to owners that need a little help with our excess on items at the shelter. I think we will be focusing on monthly donors $5/month to keep Betty White's legacy, thanks for the responses!

Thanks for the reminder!  We going to follow your lead and do another $5 donation campaign with a special announcement.  Last year, we named a rescued momma cat Betty White.  It took much longer than we expected to fully socialize her.  But she's ready now and we are excited to announce that she is going to her foster-to-adopt home this week!

Thank you for sharing that information. I had no idea that the estate did not want anyone using her name or image. We will have to rethink what we were going to do in honor of her.

The official fan page encourages people to donate to a charity of their choice. Says using her photo or name is not allowed. So  asking  for donations in her name would not be allow as I read it maybe just make sure rescue donation page is set up to receive same $5.  Donation anf that wishlists are up to date with in stock items on the 17th then if someone wanted to do a donation it would be easy for them to do.
