  • 1.  Membership Drive Ideas

    Hey there communities! 

    Our shelter has a monthly giving program that we put into place about a year and a half ago. 

    We are interested in expanding this program and are thinking about doing a Membership Drive. 

    What does your shelter do in order to engage the public into becoming monthly donors? 
    Do you have an annual membership drive?  If so, how do you normally draw the public in? 

    Any insight would be appreciated.

    We started a program encouraging people to become a GEM - Give Every Month.   When someone becomes a GEM, we send them a thank you card and a small gift (dogbone shaped keychain flashlight).  Here is a sample of the thank you card.

    Love that!  In our program, we already offer a gift as incentive.  But I love that GEM thank you card! Do you find that drives more people to give monthly?
