    Does anyone here have experience with "Fi Nano" microchips?

    They are only $3 each (for establishments to buy in bulk). Free registration for org. and adopter. 

     Currently we're paying about $8/chip! Can't think of a reason why NOT switch brands... unless you anyone has any insight they think I should consider ;)

    If you are a cat only, or even mostly cat rescue, they won't sell to you.  We went back and forth with them for quite a while. We had around 80 cats and 3 dogs in our care at the times. They would not budge and would not sell to us. VERY disappointed in them

    FiNano does not allow for information to be entered in database to distinguish cat from dog except for the choice "not a dog" -- we find that not very compatible with a cat only or mostly cat welfare organization.

    Hey!  We don't implant them, but we have seen pets coming through with them and I will say they are the absolute easiest chip for us to run (outside of ones already in our system of course) because we can get all the info we need in a few clicks. We have been VERY successful in making contact with owners when the pet has had a Fi chip, not sure if it is the ease of updating for the owner or what, but that has been our experience with them so far.

    I also suggest SavingLife. You can get microchips for $2.50, microchip and QR tag combos for $5, nano chips and scanners.
