Hi all! I'm one of the Community Support Managers at LifeLine Animal Project in Atlanta, GA. Atlanta has a very limited number of pet inclusive communities and those that are pet inclusive, are not exactly affordable. We're in the very early stages initiating some changes to pet policies that include breed and weight restriction. I'm wondering if any of you have been successful in making changes from "pet friendly" housing to "pet inclusive" housing in your community? If so, what approach did you take when having these conversations? What are some hurdles you faced and how did you overcome them?

"The strategies outlined in our Pets are Welcome Guide to Advocacy are geared to shift the way we think and talk about this major housing problem and expose the devastation it causes to pets and their people every single day. We've outlined different ways that you can inspire change in your community whether you have the capacity for taking just a few simple steps or if you're ready to launch your own community-wide campaign!"
