My name is Debbie (Hogan) Johnson, and I am reaching out to seek guidance and explore opportunities to reconnect with the animal welfare community. I have nearly two decades of experience working as an Animal Care Associate at East Bay SPCA, where I provided comprehensive care for dogs and cats, implemented enrichment activities, and trained volunteers.
Over the past year, I have focused on enhancing my skills, earning certifications in proofreading, copyediting, line editing, and developmental editing. At 55, with some physical limitations, I am particularly interested in flexible roles that can accommodate remote work or adjusted hours.
I am currently looking for advice on how to best re-enter the field and contribute to the cause in roles that suit my current situation. Any insights, advice, or leads on potential opportunities would be greatly appreciated.
