    Has anyone offered free vaccine clinics to the community? We have the opportunity to offer one and I'd love some advice, tips, etc.

    We did not do a free clinic, but a clinic that was VERY CHEAP!! lol 

    I would recommend that you consider it be by appointment!  We did first come first serve basis and ended up with more people than we could help.  Our clinic started at 8am and went until 6pm trying to get all the animals that we accepted done.  We stopped accepting animals to the clinic at about 3:30pm if i remember right! Have lots of staff set up to assist for the day! We had someone just assigned to sit and draw up vaccines, people assigned to bring animals from the owners back to be vaccinated by vet staff and then take them back to owners, people set up to input animals and vaccines into our computer and take money.  It was a crazy long day, but we helped a lot of people!

    Hi, i remember that last year our local shelter, Memphis Animal Services, took their van out to a lower-income area, and offered either a low or no cost vaccination day. Apparently people were lined up in their cars/trucks with vehicles full of dogs. My friend volunteered, and said that the people loved it, and just waited in their cars until it was their turn. Obviously, location was key to allow owners to just line up. Maybe it was held at a park. Huge success. Cheers, Catherine
