Does anyone have one webpage that just shows all pets in care instead of separate pages for lost/adoptable pets?
Context: there have been some recent discussions about the way our pages filter adoptable and lost pets. We currently have separate pages that populate from our shelter database depending on certain criteria (whether a pet is marked available or a pet was a stray on intake.) A suggestion was made to make just one big pet listing page showing all pets by species type in care.
We are a private shelter with animal control contracts and care for around 8,000 pets every year. In the last few years, we have started allowing adoption holds to be placed on pets even before they are available for adoption. Our kennels are all open to public view (minus vet kennels and some that are reserved for confiscation cases and behavior cases.)
Has anyone done anything like this before? I have concerns from a Marketing position that this will increase website viewer confusion and won't help adoptable pets but I want to hear from other folks as well. Thank you!
