  • 1.  What is your current favorite topical flea and tick preventitive?

I swear, no other creature adapts quite as quickly as fleas. While Capstar is still the gold standard for us for getting the fleas to die quickly, we are wondering what people are having the best results for topical preventative. We provide it for free to pets of the unhoused so cost is a big factor for us but we also need to be sure the shelters remain flea free,

While I swore by Bravecto I got by personal dog back from boarding for 3 days with fleas.

Would like to hear what others are having good (or not so good) luck with currently.

    Thank you!

I think part of it depends on how infested the animal is...but recently I switched from Revolt back to Advantage II and have seen a huge difference for the animals in rescues that I treat.  I think Revolt does work for kind of a maintenance thing if the environment is taken care of, but if things seem to be getting out of hand...then I have found Advantage II has really worked.  We usually get a larger size and just split it up for cats.
