Session Topic: Uncovering Insights - The Latest in Shelter Medicine Research
Behind the scenes, more and more scientific research is being done to advance the understanding of our industry’s complex issues. This evidence-based information can offer important contributions when it comes to updating industry practices and policies, but often it’s hard to find time to sort through or access new research. Today’s meeting serves to bring some of these new findings directly to shelter and rescue leaders and staff. Join 4 veterinary and shelter medicine researchers, who will share out tidbits of their recent research, focusing on practical updates that can be incorporated in shelter operations and programming.
About Community Conversations:
Maddie’s Fund, hosts a weekly hour-long Zoom call for animal well-being professionals. These calls are a collaborative space to share exciting new programs and research, discuss uncomfortable topics, connect with peers in the industry, and more, all while sharing a common goal of preserving the human-animal bond.
This call, recurring each Monday unless otherwise posted, is for executive directors, animal well-being leaders, shelter workers, pet support professionals, volunteers, and rescue organizations.
