- Coordinates the transfer/adoption of shelter animals to rescue groups and/or private adopters. - Oversees the volunteer program, including training, recruitment and coordinates volunteers with appropriate tasks in cooperation with shelter management. - Coordinates Foster Program, including the temporary transfer of young, injured, or special needs animals to foster volunteers. Maintains all volunteer lists, assignment of duties, and tracking volunteer hours. - Coordinates special adoption and education events; - Coordinates off-site veterinary appointments with volunteers and staff; etc.
