Thanks for sharing these resources.  There is so much trauma and loss associated with surrender of a pet.  We see that at Community Veterinary Outreach- the challenges.

Honestly, yes. I do try to work with people to keep their cat in their home but if they truly cannot do so, there shouldn't be any judgment. I know this is typically just as hard on them as it is on their cat. Making it even harder is encouraging people to turn their cat free on the street which is a place it isn't prepared to be. While we may be "angry" that people are surrendering their animal, if we look at the other option we should be glad that this has been their choice.
