We are open seven days a week at noon. On Mondays and Thursdays we close at 6:30 to allow people who work business hours a chance to engage with us. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays we close at 5:00, Saturday at 4:00 and Sunday at 3:00. We are considering putting Sunday back to 4:00, but we did it once and had pushback from staff!
It has been years since we added the two 6:30 closings; they made a big difference in the number of people in the shelter and therefore adopting. If I could get the staff, I'd love to be open until 6:30 every day!

Hello Fellow Professionals/Animal Lovers,
Just a quick question...What do you find are the best hours and days for adoptions? We are currently open Tuesday-Friday 11-5 and Saturdays 10-2 for adoptions. We are a summer tourist destination so Sundays are a low traffic day for us (we have tried 12-4 on Sundays, for a year and only had 3 adoptions).
