Thank you to all of those who were able to join my presentation, Expanding Foster Programs with Foster+ at Dallas Pets Alive!, during Camp Maddie: Foster Edition on December 7th.
During the session, we talked a bit about how we evaluated our current foster program, how we determined what priority needs were for our caregivers, what new things we put into place through the Foster+ program, and how we have seen an impact on our foster base.

One of the questions that was asked in the chat that I answered that I wanted to make sure everyone saw was: "Our program has always provided supplies for our fosters, but over the years this has become extremely expensive with fosters not returning supplies. How do you handle this?" Large ticket items such as crates we track in Google Sheets and label our items with “property of Dallas Pets Alive”. We have also had a huge success with Cuddly food/supplement donations and we “spread the love” between other fosters. Sharing our Amazon wishlist has been super helpful too.
