Animal Welfare Professionals

Hello. I've heard that cat food companies give away cat food to non profit organizations when the food has incorrect packaging, nearing expiration, etc. Is anyone aware of where to find these programs? I've searched online and not come up with anything. I have also heard some litter companies do the same. Thank you.

I would love to know about this as I work at a Cat rescue where we always have between 50-70 cats, so we go through a lot of food and litter. I've reached out to a few companies for possible donations, but didn't get anywhere. It would be great to know some companies that are helping.

Dr. Elsey's. It's mostly litter but they do email when they have food to donate. The last donation of food I got I shared with our local humane society because I received so much.
