I am pretty new at this. 8/24.   I applied for 8+ grants this year all of which were declined.  I am using GoFundMe me and Waggle too.   Personal funds only go so far.  Plus my last pull brought in kennel cough so I am  getting discouraged.  Thousands of dollars spent.   There are so many animals out there and not enough qualified adopters.  I just want to know how to keep my chin up.  And when grants begin to be approved?   How long do you need to be doing this before getting a hand?   Any advice?

    Hi Jacqueline,

I'm in the same boat - very new, no luck with grants so far, and trying hard not to get discouraged. You might have seen this already, but there is a thread here, started about a month ago, titled "Grants, Grants, Grants". It has a lot of information about where to look for grants, where to find guidance on what granting organizations are looking for, and a lot of encouragement and validation that fundraising is hard! I found the thread really helpful in a lot of ways.

    Wishing you all the best!
