  • 1.  Maddie’s Insights webcast December 11, 2025: Exploration of Opportunities for Barriers and Bias During Off Site Animal Adoption Events

    Posted 11-14-2025 11:17 AM

Maddie's® Insights is our ongoing webcast series with practical tips based on current research to help pets and people. Join us in December as we share insights from a nationwide survey of 484 U.S. shelters and rescues on adoption events and screening practices. Our guest, Dr. Lexis Ly, presents results from her study that includes how these processes work, how implicit bias can influence decisions, and how small procedural changes can speed up - and level up - the path to great pet–people matches. You'll come away with fresh insights and practical ideas to help reduce barriers and strengthen your organization's adoption success.

Our host @Kelly Duer is joined by Dr. @Lexis Ly,  a researcher with a background in companion animal issues and One Welfare.
